Diablo 4 Endgame Crafting Guide at U4GM
Torment 1 is where a lot of players waste time trying to force a perfect build too soon. Don't. Get the basics locked in, then let the better drops catch up. In Temis, head northeast to Seer's Boundary first. It's a quick clear, and the boss is a reliable source of Royal and Grand Gems. Filling your sockets early makes a noticeable difference to damage, life, and resistance. If you need a few missing upgrades while setting up, D4 items can help round out the gear slots that refuse to drop.
Build Your First Farming Loop
After Seer's Boundary, move into War Plans and Nightmare Dungeons. War Plans are useful when you haven't built up a stack of Nightmare Sigils yet, since they let you start running content straight away. The early goal is simple: earn Sigil Powder, craft more sigils, and work toward Nightmare Dungeon Escalations. Those longer runs pay off with Ancestral gear, Legendary pieces, keys, and the materials needed to keep improving what you're wearing. Don't linger in a dungeon just to clear every corner, though. Finish the objective, take the rewards, and start the next one.

Keep Helltide in the Rotation
Helltide is still the workhorse for levelling and early item power. Enemy packs are thick, events come quickly, and you'll pick up plenty of gear for your Codex of Power. Grab Tree of Whispers tasks whenever they overlap with what you're already doing. Caches of Chaos are worth the turn-in because they bring gold, experience, and more Legendary drops. Gathering Legions deserve a stop as well. Three reward chests for a short group event is hard to ignore, especially when the event appears inside Helltide and adds currency plus Blood Maiden hearts.
Spend Materials With a Purpose
Murmuring Obols are best used to chase weak gear slots, not to hunt a complete finished set. At this stage, a solid Ancestral base with the right stats is enough. Take useful rares and Legendaries to the Horadric Cube in Temis. Primordial Dust and Tuning Prisms give you room to shape an item instead of waiting on luck. Fayira in the Mercenary Den is another easy win. Trade Pale Marks for Aspect Caches, then salvage unwanted finds at the Blacksmith to strengthen the Codex.
Save Boss Keys for the Higher Climb
Hold Boss Lair Keys and summoning materials through Torment 1.
Push The Pit of Artificers when your clears feel steady.
Move up only when damage and defence both hold up.
Boss rewards improve sharply in Torment 10 and above, so early key runs usually aren't worth it. Use The Pit to open the next difficulty steps, with fresh Torment levels appearing at regular Pit milestones from Torment 6 onward. A clean, repeatable clear beats a shaky one every time. Keep farming gems, Helltide materials, Codex power, and focused upgrades; D4 items cheap may also be useful when one stubborn slot slows the whole build down, then keep pressing toward Torment 12.
